Ben Mears has worked the taxidermy bench since the age of twelve and began sculpting his own forms in 1989. His son Cole Mears is recognized as a two-time National Champion in high-level taxidermy competition, carrying the family standard onto the national stage. To them, taxidermy is an art form, and every form is an heirloom meant to preserve a family's legacy for generations.
Ben Mears began sculpting his own forms in 1989. His sons Cole and Hunter grew up at that same bench in Mantachie — raised in the deer woods and on the water. That lifelong love of the outdoors and hunting is what shapes every form: studied from the wild, built by a family that lives it.
